A Bit About Comments

While I love to receive comments and read your reactions to my posts there are a few standards I should let you know about before you post comments.

First of all let me reassure you that comments are welcome and encouraged. The whole purpose of this blog is to get people talking.

Second, when posting comments I only require 3 things in order to approve comments.

1.) Please do not use profanity! This is a Christian based blog and profanity is not allowed. Any posts using foul language or suggestive comments will be deleted and the sender will be marked as a spammer. No further comments will be approved.

2.) Do not spam comment this blog.  Any comments that do not relate to the posting being commented on will be marked as spam and deleted. This is to ensure that the comments for each individual post continue a conversation not just to try to get someone into some strange site.

3.) Please try to add some kind of mention about the actual post you are responding to. If the comment is generic in nature I will use my best judgment as to whether you are spamming or not. Without some kind of reference to the blog post I cannot be sure if you are actually intending to participate in a conversation or just looking for a link back. If you want a link back, comment and let me know. I will look at your site and possibly link to you without filling up the comment area with unnecessary comments.

Please try to understand my position. I do not think it is appropriate to have a huge list of comments that have nothing to do with the blog postings. I want to encourage a healthy conversation about the topics on this blog and I look forward to reading your posts. Feel free to disagree politely. I do not mind comments that do not necessarily agree with my point of view, however I will not tolerate abusive comments either. Let’s get talking and delve deeper into whatever subjects we can.

Thank you,

The Faithful Geek
